Muslim burial grounds in Morocco are typically closed to visitors, but this sprawling walled Jewish cemetery of whitewashed tombs admits all who wish to pay their respects. It was established in 1537, narrowly predating the Mellah (Jewish quarter), but it's still well maintained by Marrakesh's small Jewish community – you'll see rocks of remembrance on top of some of the tombs.
