Travel to Timbuktu and back again via the late Dutch anthropologist Bert Flint’s art collection, crammed inside this ornate medina riad. Each room represents a caravan stop along the Sahara-to-Marrakesh route, presenting indigenous crafts from Tuareg camel saddles to High Atlas carpets. The museum's displays and explanatory texts are eccentric, but Tiskiwin’s well-traveled artifacts offer tantalising glimpses of Marrakesh’s trading-post past.
The museum is closed after severe damage in the 2023 earthquake. It will reopen late 2025/early 2026 in a new venue (but in the same neighborhood), with new opening hours and entrance fees.
