Welcome to Levuka

It is an extremely friendly place and you will be warmly welcomed by the mixture of indigenous Fijians, Indo-Fijians, Chinese Fijians, part-European Fijians and the clutch of expats who inhabit this sleepy town. Nearly everyone is welcoming to visitors, and if you stay for a few days, you’ll meet half the town.

In 2013, Unesco listed Levuka as Fiji's first World Heritage Site, and there are hopes that a focus on the town's unique history will provide a boost for a unique destination that's often overlooked in favour of Fiji's tourist headline acts.
