French fare mostly figures on the menu (top-tier steak, roast sea trout with Pernod velouté), but desserts stick mainly to British home turf (such as strawberry Eton mess) and wines span the world. The space is beautiful, both inside (vintage furniture, patterned wallpaper, chandeliers) and out (look for the aqua facade and red-and-white-checked pavement tables).
Its cocktail bar opens from 6.30pm to late Friday and Saturday.
