Spanning several kilometres along the mid-west coast, this marine reserve was set up to preserve coral and shallow areas inhabited by turtles. There are four reserve zones: two sport areas where motorized aquatic sports are permitted, a scientific zone and a recreation zone where you can snorkel in peace free of Jet Skis and speedboats.

There is no entry fee or permit required to enter the reserve and if you're staying in the area there's a good chance that the waters in front of your hotel are part of it. In front of the reserve office there's a large area protected by buoys that's good for snorkeling.
