Yi Tai Study Hall

The "Two Emperors Study Hall" was erected by the Tang clan in the 19th century as a school and a shrine to the God of Literature and the God of War to ensure clansmen aced their civil exams. Students also practiced martial arts here. It became a primary school for children from poor families in the 20th century. The no-frills architecture of the hall reflects its functional role.
