Yards Park

The riverside green space is just down the road from the Nationals' stadium. There are shaded tables by the water, a wooden boardwalk, fountains you can splash in and a funky modernist bridge that looks like a giant, open-faced plastic straw. Free concerts take place on summer Fridays at 6:30pm. Several restaurants and bars at the park's edge ensure you won't go hungry or thirsty.
