Xuan Zang Memorial Hall

About 2km from the archaeological museum is the impressive Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, built by the Chinese in honor of the famous Chinese pilgrim-traveler who studied and taught for several years at Nalanda.

The interior's metal-inlay work tells the tale graphically while very professionally explained boards along the rear wall give more facts and reflect on the 17-year journey's legacy.

Modern-day backpackers will appreciate the statue of Xuan Zang at the front.
