Walhalla Cemetery

In the extraordinary Walhalla Cemetery (off Main Rd, a 20-minute return walk from town) the gravestones cling to the steep valley wall. Some 1100 people are buried here, and the tombstone inscriptions tell a sombre yet fascinating story of the town's history.
