Tyrrell Historical Library

Built in 1903 as the First Baptist Church, the building was purchased in 1923 by Captain WC Tyrrell and donated to the city for use as a library. Step inside for a look at the fantastic stained-glass window and the small rotating historical exhibits.

Due to damage sustained in August 2017 from Hurricane Harvey, the library is closed temporarily. Call ahead before visiting.
