Staatsoper Unter den Linden

A jewel among gems of historic buildings along Unter den Linden, the state opera has delighted audiences for over 250 years. Commissioned by music-loving king Frederick the Great, it's a columned temple-like structure designed by his friend and master architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff.
