Of the city's many churches, St Mary’s Cathedral is particularly attractive. Built in 1852, this Catholic place of worship is graced with a white, neo-baroque facade and a striking set of half cloisters with red roof tiles. Visitors are welcome to step inside the bright, cool interior if there is no mass (or wedding) in progress.
