Just when you thought the vineyards would never end along Hwy 12, along comes this world-renowned 25-acre botanical garden specializing in the flora of Asia. Vines wouldn't grow on this abandoned quarry site, but over 30 years, founder Jane Davenport Jansen and a team of dedicated conservationists cultivated an artful woodland of Asian magnolias, dogwood, lilies and maples – including some that are now endangered in their native lands. Today it's fragrant in spring, colorful in fall and inspiring year-round.
