Seafarers’ Museum

Located within the Church of the Entry into Jerusalem, this museum highlights Totma’s unlikely contributions to marine exploration (one-fifth of all Russian mid-18th-century expeditions originated here) and the discovery of strategic islands off Alaska. The church itself was built from donations from returning Totma-based seamen and is constructed to give the odd sensation of being at sea.
