Scarborough State Beach

Scarborough (sometimes written as 'Scarboro') is considered by many to be the best beach in the state. A massive, castle-like pavilion, extensively renovated in 2017, generous boardwalks, a wide and long beachfront, on-duty lifeguards and great, predictable surf make Scarborough special. On a hot summer day, expect hordes of beachgoers.
