Rhinos and cheetahs and zebras, oh my! Take a walk on Wine Country's wild side at Safari West, a sprawling 400-acre wildlife preserve where endangered species can recover, breed and roam free of predators and poachers (some stay fenced or indoors at night to keep safe from coyotes). For the full after-hours experience, fall asleep to the sounds of distant mating calls in a private tent cabin ($310 to $400). The canvas-sided, wood-platform cabins look like treehouses, fully furnished with duvet-covered beds, electric lighting, screened windows, and decks where you can enjoy your continental breakfast with a side of wildlife-watching; on-site massages are available too ($100 per hour).
