Rue du Jerzual

Lined with half-timbered houses, this astonishing cobbled street has been here since at least the 12th century. It leads downhill as rue du Petit Fort at a steep angle all the way to the Vieux Pont (Old Bridge) and a pretty little port, where the quayside cafés make an ideal place for some R&R before braving the steep climb back into town. Along the way, don't miss the oldest house, the 15th-century Maison du Gouverneur (Governor’s House) at number 24.
