Collections at the county's main museum encompass everything from geological specimens to a ceremonial carriage and Bronze Age lunalae (ornate collars shaped like crescent moons). Upstairs the ancient civilisations section features Egyptian, Greek and Roman artefacts. Artworks change frequently and might include pieces by Turner, van Dyck and the Newlyn artist Stanhope Forbes.
The museum is also creating an online collection charting how Cornwall is coping with the Covid-19 crisis. Opening hours may have been extended.
