Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre

Housed in an old coaching inn, in the village where children's and short story writer Roald Dahl lived until his death in 1990, this delightful small museum is perfectly pitched to children and adults. A guided tour introduces you to Roald Dahl’s favourite characters, the writer's original backyard shed where he did much of his writing, and other behind-the-scenes insights into the man via interactive displays. It's a 45-minute train ride from London.
