The oldest golf course outside Scotland was rolled out of the dust at Ratho Farm (rathofarm.com/golf; 9/18 holes $35/50) in 1822 by Scottish settlers. It's an eccentric 18-hole prospect: watch out for sheep, hedges, hay bales and fences (local rules: if you hit a fence, you can replay the shot without penalty). There's convict-built accommodation here too.
