Penarth Pier & Pavilion

Penarth's rock-and-sand shoreline may not drop jaws but it is Cardiff's closest beach. In 1894 it was graced with that obligatory Victorian seaside icon: a pier. This has been elegantly restored to art deco glory and makes a focus for beachside wanderings. The Pier Pavilion at the landward end was closed at the time of research due to Covid-19.
