With a roof clad in Mt Isa copper, this lovely blanched-white stone, French Renaissance–style building (parliament.qld.gov.au) was completed in 1867 and overlooks the City Botanic Gardens. Free 30-minute tours leave on the hour from 1pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Bring photo ID. Tours depart from the Parliamentary Annexe on Alice St. When parliament is sitting, tours are usually suspended, but visitors can view proceedings from the Parliamentary Gallery.
