Appearing in the Panorama Mesdag, the former fishing village’s oldest remaining building is the Oude Kerk Scheveningen (1466). Its ceiling represents an upturned ship’s hull; look too for the stained-glass window featuring a ship with red sails, and 17th-century whale jawbone.
