SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA - 25 AUG 2021: The Museum of Us is a cultural anthropology museum that explores the human experience from multicultural perspectives, License Type: media, Download Time: 2026-03-20T16:33:28.000Z, User: LP_YKhanna, Editorial: true, purchase_order: 65050 - Digital Destinations and Articles, job: LP, client: App Content, other: Yuvraj Khanna

Inside the iconic 1915 California Building, this anthropological museum is packed with exhibits hopscotching ancient Egypt to local Kumeyaay people and from beer to monsters and the long-running (and particularly good!) cannibals exhibition. The latter has many interactive features and games; operate for your survival on a life-size operation game (lift out body parts without sounding the alarm, and check their calories).

The California Tower atop the building, with 360-degree views of the park, can once again be climbed for a separate fee. It sits just north of where El Prado passes under an archway, which marked the main entrance for the 1915–16 exposition. Figures on either side of the arch represent the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, while the arch itself symbolizes the Panama Canal.
