The beautifully restored former home of Mariscal Antonio José de Sucre, the hero of Ecuadorian independence, is now a small museum full of early-19th-century furniture. Free guided tours in Spanish.

Displays include the household shopping list for Simón Bolívar's visit in June 1822, including 50 rabbits, 16 cow tongues and eight very fat pigs.
