Lovell Beach House

For a striking architectural specimen, stroll past the 1926 Lovell House, designed by seminal modernist architect Rudolf Schindler, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright's. It was built using site-cast concrete frames shaped like figures of eight. It's kind of amazing that it still exists with the encroachment all around. It's closed to the public, so you'll be looking from outside.
