On clear evenings, nothing compares to the full-on views of the volcano's eruptions from l'Osservatorio's panoramic outdoor terrace. From Piscità, 2km west of Stromboli's port, it's a 30-minute uphill trek or a bumpy ride on the free included shuttle (call ahead to be met at Piscità).
