Kruununpuisto

Founded by Tsar Nicholas I in 1842, Finland's oldest nature park is one of the 27 Finnish national landscapes selected in 1992 as part of the 75th anniversary of the country's independence, representing its unique culture and environment. The 5000-sq-metre park spans both sides of the Vuoksi river, and takes in the hydroelectric plant powered by the rapids, as well as imperial pavilions and statues.
