Kirkcudbright Galleries

This smart conversion of the town hall into a gallery gives enjoyable context to Kirkcudbright's artistic heritage. The permanent downstairs exhibition tells the story of the artists and designers who came to visit or reside here over the last century and a half, and displays some of their works. Two other galleries host high-quality temporary exhibitions. There's also a pretty cafe. Disabled facilities are excellent.
