Hikers and non-hikers alike will enjoy this pleasant paved stroll through amazing tropical flora. The scented scenic trail here follows the Piʻinaʻau Stream past magnificent trees and plants, from taro leaves and bamboo trees to hanging vines and colorful flowers, much of it labeled by name and country of origin. It's a lovely atmospheric side trip on the Road to Hana.
Pull over 0.6 miles after the 16-mile marker for the Keʻanae Arboretum. Park opposite the entrance gate and follow the paved trail. It turns to dirt and finally grows over after you hit a fence.
