The name of this spectacular waterfall translates to 'Lava Field Waterfall' because the crystalline water streams out from below the lava field all around. Walk a little further on the marked trail to reach Barnafoss, another churning chute. Find the turn-off on the north side of Rte 518, 6.5km west of Húsafell.
