Part of the Museum of Cultural History, the Historical Museum is the grand Art Nouveau display case for the country’s largest collection of archaeological and ethnographic finds from the Stone Age onwards.
The jewel in the collection's crown is the VIKINGR exhibition on the 3rd floor, with wonderfully preserved artifacts from the Viking age, including swords, gleaming gold and silver jewelry, and a Viking helmet from the 10th century, alongside fascinating details about the societal role of Viking warriors.
