Gjáin

A walking path from Stöng farm takes you a couple of kilometers to Gjáin, a lovely, lush valley full of twisting lava, otherworldly caves and spectacular waterfalls. Alternatively, a 4WD-only dirt road from Stöng continues to the upper ridge of the valley and to a small waterfall. The word gjáin simply means "rift" – a fitting description of this hidden valley, which was used as a filming location in Game of Thrones.
