When temperatures drop, the Boston Common becomes an urban winter wonderland, with slipping and sliding, swirling and twirling on the Frog Pond. Weekends are often crowded, as are weekdays around noon, as local skate fiends spend their lunch break on the ice. In warmer weather, the Frog Pond becomes a wet and wild spray pool where kids can cool off.
The nearby Tadpole Playground is another fun place for the kids to expend some extra energy.
