With an especially attractive north facade, the 16th-century "Mosque of Saints" was built to commemmorate the 11th-century saint Hasan-i Harakani who brought Sufi-inspired Islam to this region of Anatolia before being martyred in Kars. Attatched to the mosque's southeast corner, his domed tomb remains much revered by pilgrims.
