Euskal Itsas Museoa

This excellent little museum is one of the few in the Basque Country to offer a frank, revisionist appraisal of the region's seafaring and naval history. There is no permanent collection, just long-term exhibitions, which in the past have featured thoughtful takes on themes such as shipwrecks, women and the sea, and the Basque role in whaling and slavery. Signage is usually in English, Spanish, Basque and French.
