South of downtown, tucked away on a residential side street, this delightful little museum has pristine, thoughtful exhibits on Solvang’s Danish heritage and philosophy, as well as Danish culture, art and history. Housed in one of Solvang's original structures that was modeled on an 18th-century Danish design, complete with tongue-and-groove construction (no nails involved), custom wrought iron and sculptures made by the couple who built it, the building itself is a work of art.
