Visible for miles around and towering over the neighborhood is the gigantic Dubai Frame (dubaiframe.ae; adult/child Dhs50/20), one of the newer additions to the skyline in this part of town. Located in Zabeel Park, it stands at 150m tall and is more than 93m wide, and is designed to look like a giant picture frame offering unique views of old Dubai and new Dubai from either side. Inside, an elevator whisks you to the top floor, where a glass panel offers 360-degree views of the city. A gallery on the ground floor introduces the city’s past, going from its origins as a fishing and port village to one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
