Doheny State Beach

Just south of Dana Point Harbor, California's first state beach was immortalized in the Beach Boys' hit Surfin' USA. This mile-long beach is great for swimmers, surfers, surf fishers and tide poolers. At the 62-acre coastal park you'll find picnic tables with grills, volleyball courts, and spot migratory whales and butterflies in season. The park’s visitor center has aquariums and other natural history exhibits.
