Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen

From silent movies to sci-fi, Germany's long film history gets the star treatment at the Museum für Film und Fernsehen. Clips, stills, costumes and props illustrate such celluloid milestones as Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927), Leni Riefenstahl's Nazi-era documentary Olympia (1938) and Wolfgang Petersen's Das Boot (1981). Don't miss actress Marlene Dietrich's gowns and the world's first Oscar from 1929.

The museum is part of the Filmhaus, which also houses a film school, the Arsenal cinema, a library and a museum shop.
