Originally built in 1276 and completely rebuilt in 1690, after decades of neglect Kunming's Confucian Temple has undergone extensive renovations in the last 50 years. It serves as a sort of community center for locals practicing taichi, taking classes or just playing cards and gossiping. It's one of the best spots in the city for people-watching.
