Cliff Railway

If your legs aren't up to the climb of Constitution Hill (it's 130m, and you can't drive), catch a lift on the trundling Cliff Railway, the UK's longest electric funicular (and possibly its slowest, too, at a breakneck 4mph). It must have been glacial when first built, in 1896, when it was powered by a water-balance system.
