Cima Dome

Visible to the south from I-15, Cima Dome is a 1500ft hunk of granite spiked with volcanic cinder cones and crusty outcrops of basalt left by lava. Its foothills are smothered in Joshua trees that collectively make up the largest and densest such forest in the world. The dome is best seen from a distance but if you want some exercise, tackle the 3-mile round-trip Teutonia Peak Trail
