China Lake Museum

Pose with a "Fat Man" (atomic bomb, that is) or a Sidewinder (the first air-to-air guided missile) at this small museum likely to fascinate technology, flight, history and military buffs. It's run by volunteers, (mostly veterans from the nearby Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake) who are happy to play an outdated 15-minute video about the base or to provide a personal tour of the exhibits.
