About 20 miles south of Ridgecrest via US Hwy 395, Randsburg is a "living ghost town," an abandoned and now (somewhat) reinhabited gold-mining town circa 1895. Soak up Old West flair on a stroll down Main St or pop into the tiny historical museum, antiques shops, saloon, jailhouse or general store with soda fountain. Most places are open weekends only.
