Chengdu Museum

The five-story Chengdu Museum (成都博物馆, Chéngdū Bówùguǎn), close to Tianfu Square (天府广场) metro station, is packed with historical and cultural relics, spanning ancient Shu and pre-Qin dynasties to the revolutionary era and modern Chengdu. Particularly interesting are the sections on Sichuan opera, teahouse culture and folk puppetry. Information panels are in Chinese with photos. To reach the museum, take Exit C2, 5th Tianfu Street station (天府五街站). Bring a passport for entry.
