The romantic old Hacienda de San José del Refugio is where Herradura tequila is distilled. It is one of Mexico’s prettiest distilleries, with regularly scheduled English-language tours lasting 1½ hours. Herradura is owned by USA-based Brown-Forman, which produces other alcoholic beverages such as Jack Daniel's and Southern Comfort.
