Plus you get to taste with the hands-on winemaker himself. Located on main drag San Martín in Mayor Drummond, here there’s barely a sign to guide you into the parking lot, but that’s all part of the magic. And no need to speak Spanish; wine is Carmelo’s language. Known for his barrel-aged cabernet sauvignon and malbec, Carmelo has an old-school philosophy, which means only releasing his vintages after several years, when he considers them ready. On a visit you'll try four wines that have been aged for at least five years. You'll also enjoy the gregarious vintner’s lessons on the art of both making and drinking wine. Be sure to ask him how he opens his wine bottles (hint: the method involves a cigarette lighter instead of a corkscrew!).
