Café Magenta

This fine 1731 building was once the fortress prison and slaveriet (a section whose prisoners were sentenced to forced labor), but it's now home to this popular cafe. Enjoy a coffee or beer inside its meter-thick stone walls or out on the sun-drenched gravel terrace. There's a solid menu of lunchtime fare, including sandwiches and fish and chips.
