This compact museum trains the spotlight on art nouveau, art deco and functionalist furniture and design that rocked aesthetics from the late 19th century until the 1930s. Like a showroom (sans the price tags), it displays covetable chairs, tables, teapots and other objects by key players from around Europe, including Hector Guimard, Peter Behrens, Josef Hoffmann and Wilhelm Wagenfeld.
Tickets include an audioguide in English and German. The museum is named for its founder, Karl H Bröhan, who donated his private collection to Berlin in 1981. Note that temporary shows may occasionally replace the permanent exhibit.
